All oil and gas wells are swabbed at some point. The conventional process cleans debris, drilling fluids, and metal which can hasten and maintain even flow in new wells as well as old.
Over the last twenty years, the Petrosaurus team continued to experiment with a variation of this swabbing-cleansing process that instead of just stimulating an oil well, could be altered to lift oil from heretofore partially pressure depleted wells, which were uneconomical from traditional downhole technology, but which remained viable to EOR.
Since then, much has been learned of the process whereby our recovery by Commercial Swabbing has become a major innovation that contributes to a growing portion of Petrosaurus’ daily crude oil production, divided equally between conventional pumping equipment and our Commercial Swabbing operations.
Benefits of Swabbing
Environmentally Friendly
- Well head control designed to prevent contamination of crude oil on the surface premises.
- Unsightly surface pump, jack pad, flow lines, electric poles, and lines eliminated.
- Only the well casing protrudes above ground.
- Resource reservoir enhanced.
- No hydrogen sulfide emissions.
Cost Effective
- Well maintenance substantially reduced.
- No electrical facility required.
- No downhole pump or surface jack required.
- Flow lines to tank battery eliminated.
- Longer times between work-over.
- Reduced labor costs.
Experience
- Our team has oil field experience in excess of 40 years.
- Our Commercial Swabbing is approved for Petrosaurus, Inc. by the Texas Railroad Commission.
- Oil field capabilities include well pulling, washing, plugging, downhole pump overhaul, vacuum truck, and Roustabout services
- Staff consulting geologists mapped and defined a trove of regional proprietary data base resources.
